Fiat Chrysler, or at least the Chrysler part of Fiat Chrysler, can lay claim to having devised one of the most popular and practical vehicles ever invented — the minivan, which still commands a substantial amount of attention among potential buyers.

The fortunes and reputations of the minivan have slipped in recent years, but FCA is making a concerted effort to bring some new pizzaz into the segment with the introduction of the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, the latest iteration of the minivan, which made its debut in the early 1980s, when Ronald Reagan was in his first term as president.
