With the speedy boom of technology in EV's I was wondering when it would migrate to the battery - here is a start

Researchers at North Carolina State developed a inverter device to increase the efficiency in hybrid and electric vehicle batteries by about 2% This means the battery can also be lighter and smaller.
It's predicted that thte develpment will initially produce an air cooled inverter up to 35 kw for use in motocycles, hybrids and scooters.

Right now the prototype is designed for up to 35 kw which is the size needed for hybrids but the goal is to increase it to 100kw for use in electric vehicles

Maybe the next minivan from Chrysler could have these kinda advanced batteries!

We read about buses with twin size mattress batteries to accommodate huge mileage range but I wonder in a larger vehicle like a minivan if they would be able to create something that would allow the battery to double and triple in size sitting almost underneath the vehicle so do not compromise passenger space or cargo space

There is no doubt pretty soon we will see a better efficiency and range ratio for batteries

Only 2%? I kinda opened the article with the hope that they'd finally revolutionized battery efficiency!

Yeah it doesn't seem like much but the article does show how difficult it is to revolutionize the battery

That was a bit deflating but the battery will have to improve as more need is demanded

The energy from batteries is already efficient so great if they can get more efficiency out of them
