Hi, I used a ChargePoint Level 2 public charger for the first time last week, starting at 0% battery. After 1 hour and 45 minutes, the current dropped below 1 kW, and by the end, I got an email saying my car was likely fully charged. Since this station charges by time, I realized the last 15 minutes weren’t worth it, I could’ve just unplugged sooner. Also, our off-brand Level 2 charger works fine with our Hyundai Tucson PHEV, but it clicks on and off with the PacHy after charging is complete. Has anyone else had this issue?
 
I am beginning to wonder is it's more about the vehicle's charging system, because I also had similar experience with ChargePoint, after charging for a while, the current dropped significantly, and I could’ve unplugged sooner....my off-brand Level 2 charger also clicks on and off with one car but works fine with another.
 
You are onto something, it seems like a common issue with vehicle charging systems; many users have noticed significant drops in current as they approach a full charge, especially with timed chargers.
